HLTAID001  Provide  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Prerequisites:
  • Briston Training and Development has the following entry requirements:

  • You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Participate in a course entry interview to determine your needs and assess suitability.

  • Have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills, for example, to be able to read the training materials and write assessment tasks. This will be tested through a LLN assessment as part of the course entry process. You will need to achieve ACSF level 2 for reading, writing, numeracy and oral communication to enter the course.

Physical Requirements:
  • Students enrolling in this course will require the physical ability to be able to kneel and perform CPR for an extended period of time. Students who believe they may have difficulties should discuss their requirements and abilities with RTO staff during enrolment.

Course Overview:
  • This course will provide students with the ability to respond to emergency situations, provide CPR and communicate details of the incident to emergency response services.
